13th District Democratic Party Chair Jonathon Kinloch was acquitted on assault charges by a jury on Monday.
A complaint was filed against Kinloch by precinct delegate Marie Thornton. Thornton alleged Kinloch applied pressure to her arm via a glass door during a district meeting.
Per a MIRS article, Kinloch said that the 13th district would be investigating the conduct of those who file false police reports.
The Wayne County prosecutor has not stated if they intend to appeal the decision.
